Alexander captures the steady ticking of time with anatomical precision. His paintings, drawings and collages are often shrouded in a somber haze that reassures us all with the message: this too is normal.
His exhibition Orange Offset shows the true definition of that last word: “Balancing an influence against an opposing influence so that there is no great difference as a result.” The cheerful color palette stands in stark but balanced contrast to the deep background. All the elements are in perfect balance, only we as viewers stagger on our feet when contemplating his captivating art.
